Isa Showa – Female – 44cm
A bright, modern Showa from Isa Koi Farm in Niigata, Japan, one of the most respected Showa breeders in the world. Clean white skin, bold red plates and striking sumi on the head.
The Pattern
A strong band of sumi crosses the head behind the eyes, with fine sumi marking the nose. Behind it, a large red plate covers the shoulders and runs down the body. A clean white break crosses the back at the dorsal fin, followed by a second red plate and a small red step towards the tail. Light sumi accents sit along the flank.
Skin and Colour
The shiroji is bright white, giving this Showa a clean, modern, Kindai-style look. The red is thick and even across the shoulder plate. The sumi on the head is deep and glossy.
Why Isa
Isa’s Showa regularly take top honours at the All Japan Koi Show. Their bloodlines are prized for deep sumi, strong red and powerful body shape. As a female, she has the frame to grow into a big, impressive koi.
