The Hi (red) is bright and deeply saturated, forming a confident two-plate layout — a strong shoulder plate and a dominant mid-body plate — with even tone throughout and clean break edges. The Sumi (black) is dramatic and well-placed, sitting in the classic tsubo sumi style — distinct accent markings positioned on top of the Hi and Shiroji rather than overlapping or muddying the pattern. The Shiroji is exceptionally bright and unblemished.The Sumi placement on this fish is particularly considered — bold enough to provide dramatic visual anchors but restrained enough to let the Hi remain the dominant element, which is exactly the balance a well-bred Sanke should achieve. The face shows a clean Hi mark balanced by clear white, with no Sumi on the head (a traditional Sanke trait that distinguishes it visually from Showa).The body is straight with good shoulders and clean conformation.
