Momotaro Kohaku | Female | 43 cm SKU: OGT-KOH-MOM-F-43-2601-022

A female Momotaro Kohaku with a balanced two-step Nidan pattern — and a particularly clean odome (tail-stop Hi), the small separate Hi mark near the tail that breaks cleanly from the main pattern. Odome is one of the desirable details in serious Kohaku grading, because it shows the pattern has rhythm and closure rather than trailing off, and it’s a feature collectors actively look for. The presence of clean odome on a young female at this price point is unusual.
The main Hi wraps through the shoulder and back with the deep, saturated red that Momotaro is specifically known for — even tone, no patchiness, clean break edges where it meets the white. The face shows a clean Hi mark on the head balanced by white. The Shiroji is exceptionally bright and unblemished, which is the detail that separates a serious Kohaku from a good one.
The body is straight with good shoulders and a clean tail tube. Momotaro Koi Farm is one of the most respected names in Niigata, with a Kohaku bloodline refined across decades for exactly the qualities visible here. As a confirmed female at 43cm, she carries significant growth and pattern development potential, plus genuine breeding interest for collectors thinking long-term.
