Isa Showa | Female | 42 cm SKU: OGT-SHO-ISA-F-42-2601-030

A female Isa Showa with classical three-colour balance and — most notably — a clearly developing menware between the eyes. The forehead Sumi is restrained but well-placed, sitting cleanly on the white ahead of the main head pattern. Menware is one of the most prized features in Showa, and watching it form on a young fish is one of the genuine rewards of growing Showa on. In a well-bred bloodline like Isa, this kind of early Sumi placement typically continues to darken and develop into the characteristic V-shape across the forehead over the next 1–3 years.
The Hi (red) sits as a strong, well-shaped plate through the central back area, deeply saturated with even tone and clean break edges. The body Sumi is heavy and lacquered — classic Isa quality — with confident clusters wrapping the Hi from above and below, and additional Sumi anchoring the tail area. The Shiroji (white) is exceptionally bright and unblemished, providing the contrast that lets both colours read with full impact.
The body is straight with good shoulders and clean conformation. Isa Koi Farm is one of the most prestigious Showa breeders in the world, with a bloodline that has shaped what modern Showa is expected to look like. For a collector growing fish on, a young female with this combination of confirmed bloodline, balanced existing pattern, and clear menware development potential is exactly the kind of Showa that rewards patience.
