Momotaro Kohaku – Male – 48cm
A balanced, four-step Kohaku from Momotaro Koi Farm in Okayama, Japan. Deep red plates evenly spaced along snow-white skin, on a big 48cm male.
The Pattern
A red head plate sits behind a clean white nose. A white break follows, then a round red plate on the shoulders. A third plate crosses the back at the dorsal fin, and a fourth runs down the rear body towards the tail. The steps are well spaced and sit evenly along the body, giving a classic Yondan (four-step) look.
Skin and Colour
The red is thick and even, with clear, defined edges. The shiroji is bright, snow white, and the pectoral fins are pure white. The strong contrast between red and white makes the pattern read cleanly from across the pond.
