Momotaro Kohaku – Female – 44cm
A classic red-and-white Kohaku from Momotaro Koi Farm in Okayama, Japan. Bright white skin, a bold red head and a balanced three-step pattern.
The Pattern
A deep red head plate flows straight into the shoulder step. A clean white break crosses the back at the dorsal fin. A long second step runs down the body. A short third step finishes at the tail. This is a traditional Sandan (three-step) Kohaku.
Skin and Colour
The white skin (shiroji) is bright and snow white. The pectoral fins are clean. The nose tip stays white, framing the head. The head red is dense and even. The body red is still deepening, so she has real room to improve with good water and quality food.
Why Momotaro
Momotaro is one of Japan’s most respected Gosanke breeders. Their Kohaku are known for strong body shape and colour that keeps developing with age. As a female, she has the frame to grow into a big, impressive koi.
