The Gin Rin scaling on this Goshiki is exceptional. Every scale across the Hi carries the reflective diamond sparkle, and it runs unbroken rather than patching out halfway down the body. Under sunlight the whole flank lights up.

Bright orange Hi
The Hi is a luminous orange-red rather than a deep crimson. It sits in bold plates down the back and across the head, saturated and even.

That brightness is a real advantage in a pond. Deep red reads dark under water — orange Hi like this stays vivid at depth and on overcast days.

Sumi and network
A patch of developing sumi sits behind the shoulder, framed by silver reticulated scales. On a Nisai Goshiki this is exactly what you want to see — the sumi is still coming through and will continue to settle and spread as she matures.

It also gives the current pattern a strong focal point, adding depth against the bright orange Hi.

The pale areas carry the Goshiki netting — fine dark reticulation over a bright silver-white base.

Female, 44cm at two years
She is a confirmed female at 44cm, which sits above the typical Nisai range.

Both facts point the same way. Females grow larger and carry better body volume through their lives, and strong size at two years old indicates good bone and appetite. For anyone buying to grow a fish on, that combination is the whole proposition.

Body and finish
Straight body with clean lines and good proportion. White fins, well-formed, with a touch of Hi carrying into the tail. Clean Shiroji on the nose and underside.
