Isa Showa | Female | 44 cm
A female Showa from Isa Koi Farm in Niigata, Japan. Isa is one of the most respected Showa breeders in the world, known for strong sumi and deep, even hi.
Pattern and colour
The hi (red) is rich and even. It covers the head and runs into a large plate over the shoulders, with more red plates towards the tail. Sumi (black) marks the face and nose, sits on the shoulder plate, and runs in a bold band along the back. Bright white separates the colours and keeps the pattern clear. The pectoral fins carry a touch of black at the base (motoguro).
Why this koi
– Isa bloodline, the benchmark for modern Showa
– Female body with room to grow into a larger, fuller fish
– Bold sumi and deep red with clean white for strong contrast
