Isa Maruten Showa – 45cm
A striking Maruten Showa from Isa Koi Farm in Niigata, Japan, one of the most respected Showa breeders in the world. A bold red spot on the head, crisp sumi and bright white skin.
The Pattern
A separate red spot crowns the head. This is the maruten, a feature collectors prize. The shoulders stay clean white, setting off a large red plate across the mid-body. Crisp black stones are scattered across the back and flanks, with small red accents leading towards the tail.
Skin and Colour
The red is vivid and well defined, both on the head spot and the body plate. The sumi is sharp and glossy, and the white skin is bright and clean. The pectoral fins are pure white, keeping the look clean and modern.
Why Isa
Isa’s Showa regularly take top honours at the All Japan Koi Show. Their bloodlines are prized for deep sumi, strong red and powerful body shape. At 45cm, this fish has plenty of growing ahead.
