Isa Showa – Male – 40cm
A bold, high-contrast Showa from Isa Koi Farm in Niigata, Japan, one of the most respected Showa breeders in the world. Bright red up front, powerful sumi behind and crisp white throughout.
The Pattern
Red covers the head and a large plate across the shoulders, broken by clean white on the face and a red nose tip. Behind the shoulders, deep black sumi takes over, wrapping the back and flanks down to the tail with bright white windows breaking through. Both pectoral fins carry bold motoguro, the black fin roots that mark a classic Showa.
Skin and Colour
The red is deep and even across the shoulder plate. The sumi is solid, glossy and generous, giving this fish real contrast and drama. The white skin between the patterns is bright and clean.
Why Isa
Isa’s Showa regularly take top honours at the All Japan Koi Show. Their bloodlines are prized for deep, lacquer-black sumi, strong red and powerful body shape. As a male, he has a sleek, streamlined build and the fine skin quality males are known for holding as they mature.
