Momotaro Sanke | Male | 41 cm
A male Sanke from Momotaro Koi Farm in Okayama, Japan. Momotaro is famous for big, powerful bodies and rich colour, and this young male already shows both.
Pattern and colour
The hi (red) is deep and even. A large plate covers the head and stops cleanly above a white nose. A broad red plate runs over the shoulders, followed by a clean white band and two more red plates towards the tail. Bold sumi (black) sits on the shoulder plate and rear plates, with small sumi stones on the white near the tail. The white skin is bright, and the pectoral fins are clean.
Why this koi
– Momotaro bloodline with strong body and deep colour
– Clean head with bold, well-placed sumi on the body
– Classic step pattern with good balance from head to tail
