Momotaro Sanke – 55cm
A big, elegant Sanke from Momotaro Koi Farm in Okayama, Japan. Bold red plates, bright white skin and crisp black stones, in a fish already 55cm long.
The Pattern
A strong red plate covers the head and flows over the shoulders, framed by a clean white nose. Small, crisp sumi stones sit on the white across the back and on the edges of the red plates. A second red plate follows behind the dorsal fin, and a third finishes towards the tail. The pattern ends with a clean white tail joint.
Skin and Colour
The red is deep and even across the head plate. The shiroji is bright and clean, and the sumi is sharp and well placed, never crowding the pattern. The pectoral fins are pure white.
Why Momotaro
Momotaro is one of Japan’s most respected Gosanke breeders. Their Sanke are known for strong body shape and colour that keeps developing with age. At 55cm, this is a substantial koi that already brings real presence to the pond.
