Doitsu Showa | 36 cm
A young Doitsu Showa with bold three-colour contrast and a lot of growing still to do. At 36 cm it’s a good size to start with and watch develop in your own pond.
Pattern and colour
The hi (red) is deep and even. A large block covers the shoulders and runs down the back. Sumi (black) marks the head and sits in patches across the body. The white ground is clean between the colours. Both pectoral fins carry black at the base, a classic Showa trait.
Why this koi
– Strong red, black and white contrast at a young size
– Sumi on the head and in the pectoral fins, true to the variety
– Room to grow: colour and pattern will mature as the fish gains size
