Momotaro Kohaku – 46cm
A bold, classic Nidan Kohaku from Momotaro Koi Farm in Okayama, Japan. Two strong red steps, deep even colour and bright white skin.
The Pattern
A large red plate starts on the head behind a clean white nose and flows unbroken over the shoulders and down the body. A white band crosses the back behind the dorsal fin, followed by a second red plate towards the tail. This is a traditional Nidan (two-step) pattern with real visual weight.
Skin and Colour
The red is thick, glossy and even across the whole of the main plate, with clean edges against the white. The shiroji is bright, snow white, and the pectoral fins are pure white. The strong, simple pattern makes this Kohaku read clearly from across the pond.
Why Momotaro
Momotaro is one of Japan’s most respected Gosanke breeders, and Kohaku is where they excel. Their fish are known for strong body shape and red that keeps its depth as the fish grows. At 46cm, this Kohaku already has real presence.
